It features a thick rhizome, reaching up to 10 cm in length and 2 cm in thickness, with dark olive-green leaves that can grow between 20 to 40 cm long and 3 to 8 cm wide. These slightly leathery leaves can appear flat or have a highly bullate and undulate texture, adding unique visual interest to your tank.
This plant thrives in soft, weakly acidic water with a pH range of 6 to 7.5 and prefers low to moderate lighting. It grows at a medium rate, making it suitable for midground to background placement in your aquarium. While CO2 injection is not necessary, providing a nutrient-rich environment can enhance its growth.
To cultivate Aponogeton Capuronii successfully, half of the bulb should be buried into the substrate, taking care not to bury it completely to prevent bulb rot. Propagation is straightforward, achieved by cutting side shoots. This plant’s easy care requirements and adaptability make it a great addition to various aquatic setups.
