Fluval Bio-FX Media is a premium biological filter media suitable for all filter types. Designed with a complex porous structure and interconnected micro-tunnels, it provides an extensive surface area for billions of beneficial nitrifying bacteria to thrive, fostering a healthier aquatic environment.

This biological filter media is made from safe, inert ceramic material and is available in a 5-liter format, ideal for use with larger canisters and sump filtration systems. The deep pore structure and linked cavities permit free and even water flow, discourage blockages, and prolong contact time for superior and effective biological filtration. This design allows for the rapid reduction of ammonia and nitrite, ensuring a healthier aquarium.

For best results, rinse the Bio-FX Media monthly using aquarium water and replace partially every six months. For optimal filtration, place the media in the last stage of the filtration process. Typically, one filter basket layer of Bio-FX is adequate for most aquariums, but additional Bio-FX can be used for higher bio loads.
