Madagascar Lace

Madagascar Lace (Aponogeton madagascariensis) is a striking aquatic plant native to Madagascar, prized for its unique lace-like leaf structure. This plant is known for its delicate, vein-like leaves that create a dramatic, elegant appearance in aquariums. Ideal for larger tanks, Madagascar Lace can grow quite large, so ensure you have ample space for its full development.

For optimal growth, Madagascar Lace requires clean, clear water and a soft substrate. It thrives in slightly acidic to neutral water with a pH between 5.0 and 7.5. The plant benefits from stable water conditions and does not do well with algae or debris on its leaves. While it can adapt to a range of water temperatures, maintaining a temperature between 60-79°F (15-26°C) is recommended. Regular trimming of long flower stems is advised to keep the plant healthy and ensure it remains a beautiful centerpiece in your aquarium.
