Pearl Weed

Pearl Weed is a versatile and vibrant stem plant that adds a splash of bright green to any freshwater aquarium. This plant is well-suited for a variety of tank sizes, from large setups to nano tanks, and can be used in the foreground, midground, or background depending on how it is trimmed. Under low lighting, Pearl Weed tends to grow upright, while more intense lighting encourages it to form dense, lush mats that provide excellent cover for small fish and shrimp.

Thriving in a wide range of water conditions, Pearl Weed grows well in both soft and hard water, with an optimal pH range of 6.5 to 7.5. It can flourish in water temperatures between 66-82°F (19-28°C), making it adaptable to different tank environments. Although this plant does not require CO2 injection to thrive, adding CO2 and using fertilizer will significantly boost its growth and overall health.

Pearl Weed's moderate to fast growth rate means it requires regular trimming, but this also makes propagation easy. Simply clip mature stems and replant them to expand its presence in the aquarium. Whether used as a foreground carpet or allowed to grow taller in the background, Pearl Weed is an easy-to-care-for plant that enhances the beauty of any planted aquarium.
