Seachem Reef Advantage Magnesium 300g

Reef Advantage Magnesium™ is a highly concentrated solution designed to address magnesium deficiencies in marine aquariums. With a concentration of 80,000 ppm, this blend of magnesium, chloride, and sulfate salts is crafted to restore depleted magnesium levels while maintaining the natural ionic balance of seawater.

This product does not contain ammonia, a common contaminant found in many liquid magnesium supplements. Magnesium levels that fall below 800 mg/L can lead to depressed pH levels and difficulty in maintaining proper magnesium concentrations. Common causes of magnesium deficiency include the use of kalkwasser, frequent overdosing of carbonate additives, or insufficient magnesium levels in the salt mix.

Reef Advantage Magnesium™ effectively counteracts these issues. It addresses problems caused by the precipitation of magnesium into insoluble forms such as magnesium hydroxide or magnesium carbonate, which can make magnesium unavailable. Unlike magnesium hydroxide, which is extremely insoluble, magnesium carbonate can redissolve over time, but it does so slowly. This product helps prevent and correct these deficiencies to support a stable and healthy marine environment.
