Echinodorus Harbich, commonly known as the Harbich Sword, is a resilient aquatic plant that is well-suited for various aquarium setups. This species is known for its bright green, rounded leaves with a textured surface, which remain compact at about 4-9 inches in height, making it a versatile choice for many aquarium sizes. Unlike larger Amazon Sword plants, Harbich maintains a more manageable size, making it ideal for both smaller and larger tanks.

The Harbich Sword thrives in low to moderate light conditions and does not require CO2 injection, although it can benefit from it. It adapts well to a range of water conditions, with a pH range of 5.5 to 8. This plant is relatively easy to care for, making it a great option for beginners. It propagates by separating new plantlets from the root system and replanting them.

Echinodorus Harbich grows best in nutrient-dense soil due to its nature as a heavy root feeder. It is advisable to avoid making drastic changes to water parameters to prevent stress and potential rotting. When grown under intense lighting, the plant's color can be enhanced, adding a vibrant touch to your aquarium.
